Khaled Hosseini

Khaled Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and moved to the United States as a political refugee in 1980. A physician by training, he became one of the most widely read authors in the world with The Kite Runner. He is also a goodwill envoy for the UNHCR.
