William Peter Blatty

William Peter Blatty was an American writer and filmmaker best known for his novel The Exorcist, which he adapted into an Academy Award-winning screenplay. A Georgetown University graduate, Blatty drew on his Catholic faith and research into actual exorcism cases to create one of the most influential horror novels ever written.
