Laurie Halse Anderson

Laurie Halse Anderson is an American author known for writing about difficult truths facing young people with honesty and compassion. Speak was published in 1999 and has never gone out of print. She is also the author of Wintergirls and the memoir Shout, which revisits the themes of Speak in verse.
