Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Carlos Ruiz Zafón (1964–2020) was a Spanish author whose Cemetery of Forgotten Books series became a worldwide phenomenon, translated into more than 50 languages. Born in Barcelona, he later lived in Los Angeles, weaving the city of his birth into fiction of gothic, operatic intensity.
